Biggest Loser: Office Edition, Week 5

Check out my new wallpaper!  I know, not a smart thing to have when you're on a diet.

In addition to being a full-time Realtor, I also run a wholesale and internet tea company with my husband.  I was delivering tea to a Korean grocery store when I saw these beautiful cakes.

Anyway, after the debacle of the last couple of weeks, I feel like I'm beginning to get back on track.  I've sugared myself out to the point where, aside from a little bit of dark chocolate every day, I don't want to eat the rich, sugary sweets anymore.  Hopefully that will get me through Christmas.

As for exercise? Last week was hard, with the snow and the flooding.  I don't like to walk when the ground is too wet! This week looks better(excuses, excuses!)

As an office, we are still losing weight...slowly. Our goal is to lose 740 pounds, and  donate a pound of food for every pound we've lost to the local food bank.  We have one month left!

I'm happy to say that despite tempting fate by staring at cakes all week, I actually lost ... one pound.  Better than nothing!:)

I am feeling the effect of to much cake this week... First was my wife's birthday, then my oldest son's and next week is the youngest ones birthday.  A cake a week seem to add a pound for me.  Good Luck meeting your goal.

What a great idea, to donate in-kind!

I am going to see if anyone at my office wants to do that!!

Lisa - Congratulations on your weight loss at this difficult time when food is everywhere and in abundance. Love the looks of those cakes and am glad I did not face that temptation. Keep up the good work.

Patricia, Dan, Jayne, Judy and Sal- Thank you for your comments and is a difficult time of the year, but then again, I had the flu twice so that helped!  All kidding aside, if anyone would like to know how we carried out the contest(there is actually some organization to it) I would be happy to send you the materials/game plan.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
